About Us

We are friends who, one day, felt very dumb.

We decided to expand our vocabulary through Dictionary.com’s Word of the Day.

The plan was to exchange emails using the Word of the Day in a sentence.

Then, one day, we felt even dumber.

So, we decided to also expand our vocabulary through Merriam-Webster’s Word Central, the Word of the Day for children, also called the Daily Buzzword.

Now we exchange sentences using both, and it helps us get through the working day.

Come! Learn with us!

I love you.

Stumbled upon your site quite by chance – a gift from the google gods while searching “heterotelic”. Very enlightening and inspiring.

She stared ominously at her husband as he went to open his mouth.

Ominous adj. – Giving the impression that something bad or unpleasant is going to happen.

Love this site! I am always looking for ‘words of the day’ to memorize. I found this site while researching my Pseudonym “Cindy Capleton” and found that there are actually people with that name.

You learn something new every day.
